We are saddened, today, by the loss of Hollywood producer and friend to Sayoc Kali, James Jacks.
James was responsible for such movies as Dazed and Confused, Raising Arizona, Tombstone, and The Mummy franchise. He also produced several other early Cohen Brothers movies, as well as The Hunted, the fight scenes for which were designed by Sayoc Kali (Tuhons Tom Kier and Rafael Kayanan).
Many Sayoc Kali instructors knew Jim and enjoyed his great stories.

Here’s to Jim Jacks. Nobody loved movies more. Passionate, loyal, generous, accomplished, noble, caring, heavily armed, creative, dare I say obsessive on occasion. A good man, a good friend, a wonderful partner, a loving son to his family. You will be missed.
It’s indeed sad news. Jack lose was big and I still miss his greatness thoughts in movies. The Mummy is the only franchise I’ve seen of his films and he was great.
