Description
Designed by Sayoc Tuhon Ricardo Kayanan: the Sayoc Pintado Compact Barung was unveiled this January to the whole SAYOC tribe by ATIENZA Kali Tuhon Carl Atienza (blade maker).
This modern blade’s specs embraces exquisite functionality and balance combined with a high focus on impeccable aesthetics.
The Sayoc Pintado Compact Barung is not a replica or reproduction of the classic barung. There are many collector replica or even cheap knockoff barungs available elsewhere.
The unique design of our compact blades line are made for daily practice and actual use. Its scale easily fits into most carry bag systems.
A whole system of tactics by many high level advisors inform its shape. The blades are made for durability and efficiency. Although, visual aesthetics are considered; this state of the art blade is not a wall hanger.
One Tribe Blades uses the term, “Pintado” because of the etched in tribal symbols and markings on our blade flats.
We unapologetically include the name of a classic blade due to its overall form language reflecting the needs for the modern world.
This modern design reflects the past without directly imitating a barung’s complete design.
