    Attendance: TBC, Dave K., Patrick

WARM-UP: Entry into stick grappling side control.

ACCURACY DRILLS (Right & Left Handed):

    – Going on outside of holder’s hand to punyo (both ends)
    – Hold would hold center of stick (horizontally) and 2nd stick horizontal but tip toward the striker. Striker thrusts the tip of holder and strikes down the center of holder’s 2nd stick.

    GRAPPLING:

    – Review triangle tricep lock.

    If tricep lock fails:
    – Double-handed thrust into hip flexor to lower receiver’s body, hook behind knee & push to the ground. While stepping on ankle, hand controlling receiver’s stick hand locks their wrist against feeder’s hip, turning out to strip while simultaneously striking leg.
    – “Row” just over the top of knee-cap to take receiver down the opposite direction. Finish w/ arm lock while opponent is on their back.

    From “High Control” Position:
    – Opponent turns into you, feeder maintains double over-hooks. Feeder turns palm-up into palm-down, drops stick in front of receiver’s shoulder and push away with both hands to create space for a headlock. From headlock, proceed with throat crush, eye crush, or cheek crush.
Variation from headlock position: “Pool-cue” the stick towards locking hand, free hand grabs long side of stick to lever crush receiver’s cheek bone.
Variation from Double Over-hook: Palm-down hand is released, palm-up hand thrusts long side of the stick down the side of receiver’s neck into the center. Free hand places long side of the stick under feeder’s armpit creating a neck-control position, from which to strike or choke.
