In attendance: TBC, Dave, Darryn, Patrick, Jenny, MC, Jim.
Warmed up running t/long bld entry to counter.
Rest of class was focused on t/Sayoc Winkler RnD Hawk. TBC discussed t/history of t/axe head, design characteristics & passing protocols. Handling t/hawk strong side fwd, diagonal strikes are performed in t/shoulder to hip range w/t/wrist stopping at those pts to prevent self impalement/cut. Overhead strikes have t/wrist stopping @forehead.
Draw to gun grip chest thrust – power assist(PA) uppercut – ocular handle thrust – backside(bs) cut ext jugular.
Holding gun grip, when opp’s eyes track t/hawk, drop hawk down to ur hip/quad region to chamber to standard grip – pop up to back-spike mandible – hard pull to eject – bs cervical spine.
Standard grip behind leg concealment to palm down(pd) back-spike heart/lung off horiz/oblique plane (more of a jab puncture than a deep thrust) – dollar bill around to palm up(pu) back-spike back cerv spine – rip thru to bs cerv spine.
From quick draw(QD) gun grip pos., PA hawk head to thrust handle to pelvic reqion – follow up doing t/same thing to face.
Mod: as you move up towards face, align edge of hawk (instead of handle) to neck, PA hand shoots & pushes opp’s forehead back while hawk cuts neck (done as 1 move).
Folded arm concealment standard grip – bs cut to opp femoral, opp steps back to evade – frontside(fs) cut to opp femoral – shock entry w/ur opposite hip ag their hip as you post off & rip hawk out – still maintaining tactile w/opp drive ur elbow to opp’s midback & flip up back-spike to back of their head.
Standard grip delivering overhead strike, opp catches forearm w/both hands – PA hawk into one of their forearms, then t/other – transition PA hand to gun grip & handle strike mandible en route to hooking handle behind opp’s neck – other hand grabs bottom of handle for 3pt lock choke as you swing your leg around.
Mod: if while attempting 3pt lock opp manages to turn in for a dbl leg takedown attempt, hand lets go of gun grip & post off t/opp’s head while standard grip cuts across throat w/back-spike.
MC worked w/new guy Jim on 3o9 vts & tapping up to #5.
