On September 5–6, 2026, Sayoc instructors came together in Wichita Falls, TX for a weekend focused on advancing their training, sharpening their skills, and deepening their understanding of the Sayoc system.
Instructor development goes beyond knowing the drills. It requires understanding the concepts, principles, timing, decision-making, and purpose behind them. Through shared training and problem-solving, instructors are challenged to understand the material well enough to communicate it, adapt it, and help others develop the same understanding.
The weekend was another opportunity to raise the standard collectively while strengthening the bond that defines Sayoc as One Tribe. Different backgrounds and levels of experience come together with a shared responsibility to train, understand, refine, teach, and preserve the art for those who follow.
