Today we recognize the father of Sayoc Instructor Guro Rich Smith.
The city of Ansonia, CT recently held a ceremony to honor Guro Rich’s father, Alfonso Smith.
Alfonso, also known as “Butch” or “Smitty,” has been a long-time youth sports-league volunteer and Ansonia Recreation Commission member. The 89 year old WWII Veteran was presented with a plaque and a youth league jacket by Mayor James Della Volpe who also named that day as Al Smith Day!
